Hiking & Jr. Photographers - October 2016 (Weeks 1 & 2)

We started of the month of October with a fun family day.  We headed to Oak Glen for a hike and to catch some of the apple activities.  It was a beautiful day and the girls did great with the hike.  It was the longest we have taken all three of them on, 2 miles in total.

A pond along the trail.

Snack time!

Here are some other random pictures we took at the beginning of the month.
Madison is working in Grandma's office at church.

Kyle & I were both working from home one day (kids at school and daycare), but we weren't super busy and decided to gout out for lunch.  Day Date!

Madison loves puzzles and is starting to learn her letters

I was busy one Saturday morning, so Kyle took the girls to park to get them out of the house.  Such as good Daddy.

Madison & I have been enjoying bike rides while the other girls are at school.  Sometimes we will stop at a park.

The printer wasn't working . . . .

Love these two.  This picture just makes me smile.

It seems like everytime I pick up my phone there are more and more pictures that I did not take.  Many are similar cross-eyed selfies of Brooklyn, but here are a few of the pictures that she has taken.

Katelyn lost her tooth a while back, while at school.

I hope this brings you some smiles as it does for me.

Fairs & Festivals - September 2016 (Weeks 3 & 4)

One of the highlights for September was Brooklyn's first field trip with her class.  They went to the county fair and I went along as a chaperone.  Once in the fair, we were able to split off on our own.  We had one other girl who did not have a parent there who hung out with us and then another mom and friend (who also go to our church) that we hung out with most of the day.  The girls all had a great time.  The highlight of the day was definitely the dress-up area.  And of course we had to stop by every picture stand where the heads are cut-out for the kiddos.  It was really fun spending a day with just Brooklyn.  We don't have much time together without at least one of her sisters around.

Brooklyn really wanted a picture of the turtle.

Tea Time!
The next day was the Harvest Festival at school.  We were joined by my mom, aunt and grandma, so that I didn't have all three girls on my own.  The big girls enjoyed the games and the big slide.  Madison pretty much just hung out the whole time, not really participating as the games and bouncers were too big for her.  At the end of the day, Madison rode on the slide with me and was ready to climb up and do it again!

Brooklyn!
Face Paint time!

Katelyn the tiger.
Brooklyn the Unicorn.

Brooklyn the photographer strikes on our phones again.  We went out to lunch with Grandpa & Grandma and Brooklyn took some pictures on Kyle's phone.

She loves those selfies.

Selfie with Dad & Katelyn.

Not only does she take pictures of herself, but her is the self-portrait and description that Brooklyn did during the first week of school.

We went for a walk to the grocery store one day while Katelyn was at school.  Love these cuties.

September 2016 (Weeks 1 & 2)

September was pretty jam-packed for us.  We had something almost every Friday evening and Saturday night for the entire month.  We even had to say no to some of our normal activities, like going to the county fair as a family, due to how much was going on.

Labor Day weekend was actually or slowest weekend of the month.  On Monday, Kyle did some work around the house, included putting some grass seed down.  He had lots of helpers.

The second weekend of the month, I went to the "Belong Tour" with a couple of friends.  It was located pretty close to home on Friday evening and Saturday, so we didn't need to get a hotel.  It had some of the same speakers as Women of Faith in the past, but it was definitely a different event.  I enjoyed hearing some of the speakers and it was fun to spend some time with friends without the kiddos.  Kyle took the girls to a friends house to watch a movie outside on Friday night while the moms were away.

When I got home from Belong, we pretty much packed up and headed out to go to an Angel's game.  It was our only baseball game this year and I think the girls enjoyed it.  We consider it a success if we get to the 7th inning, which we did.  Of course the Angels hit a home run and did fireworks as we were walking out of the stadium, but oh well, we can't see it all.

Katelyn was invited to a friend's birthday party at a small, local amusement park.  They each got a wristband and a bunch of coins for the arcade could go on whatever they wanted.  This was a first for her and very exciting.  It was her first time going on a lot of types of rides without one of her parents.  She did great!  She even got in half a round of mini-golf before we had to leave as it was getting late.

That is her in the orange.  I think they did this ride at least 3 times.

Katelyn is on the right.
Here's a few random photos from those early weeks of September:

I am always finding selfies on my phone.

"Mommy, I stinker." - We call her a stinker all the time.

I may have dropped VERY hot (like boiling) ramen soup on my legs.  It wasn't good, but it getting back to normal now.

"Mom, take my picture." - Brooklyn

More selfies from Brooklyn.  Such a goofy girl.

Love this sweetheart.

She loves bubbles.

Madison likes to be a helper.
