Fall 2013 Photos

Here is a collection of a bunch of random photos from this fall.  My goal is to get into our bathroom in the next week or so and take some pictures so that I can finally do a post on the end result of our bathroom.

At a friend's 3rd birthday party at the park in September.  Eating 'Nemo' cupcakes!

An evening bike ride in September in their jammies.

Breakfast with my Grandma aka 'GG' (for Great Grandma).  The Advocado House is one of our favorite restaurants to eat at and they have chicken and rabbits in the back that the girls like to see when they are done eating.

We had a lizard in our living room one Sunday afternoon.  Kyle had to catch it and take it outside.

My Hero!

Out to breakfast with daddy!

The city was trimming trees and the girls wanted to watch the man in the lift outside.

Messy Face!  This was another breakfast at the Advocado House - this time when Daddy had a day off.

My Niece Mackenzie turned 1 in November.  Here she is getting ready to open presents.

My cowgirls at the cowgirl themed party.

Katelyn's first attempt at a pinata.

The girls are in the middle here goofing off in the bounce house at Kenzie's party.

Katelyn got a magnifying glass for her birthday and for a while used it for everything - including wathcing tv.  What a goofball.

The girls went with me to coupon at CVS one day and were well behaved, so they got to take a ride when we were done.

Unfortunately, now they ask me EVERY TIME they see one of these if they can ride it.

We love to play dress up in our house.  I don't recall exactly what she was here, but she comes up with the craziest things.

Fall Day Trips

We had a couple of fun day trips in the fall.

Near the end of November, we took a trip up to Lake Arrowhead with my parents and sister's family.  It was rather cold when we were there.  We of course had breakfast at the waffle house that we like there; then we spent some time feeding the ducks and walking through town.

It had snowed earlier that week and on the way home, we stopped by some snow and let the girls play for a few minutes.  They thought it was great to throw snow balls at all the adults.  We also took our Christmas photo by the snow.

The entire family.

Feeding the ducks.

Playing with the trains at the toy store.
Cousins!  (Katelyn insisted on wearing her rain boots for the entire day.)

This one was our Christmas photo.

Girls with Grandpa & Grandma.

Such a blast throwing snowballs.

I purchased a great deal on Living Social a while back for Pretend City, a children's museum in Orange County.  It was very near my aunt's house, so she joined us there for the afternoon.  It was similar to the museum we went when we visited Minnesota last Christmas, but I do think I preferred the museum in South Dakota as it was a little more spread out with more variety (and much cheaper at normal price).

B at 'the Beach.'

Katelyn performing on stage.

B working at the grocery store.

Katelyn the artist.

Puzzles with Auntie C.
There were lots of other areas in the museum too - a restaurant, doctor's offices, water play, and Brooklyn's favorite, the small fire engine she kept going back to.  Unfortunately, some of my pics of those areas were too blurry.  I think I was still getting used to using the camera on my phone at that point.

I love making such fun memories with the girls.

Baby #3 is on the way!

That's right, as I alluded to in my post on our trip to Dana Point, we are expecting baby #3!  Our due date is May 29, which is also Brooklyn's 3rd birthday.  We are expecting another GIRL!!!

The beginning of the pregnancy was a little more worrisome than my others as I had a condition called subchorionic hemorrhage/bleed.  This gave us quite the scare and we had two trips two the emergency room at 12 and 15 weeks.  I had a weekend of bed rest and a couple of months of 'taking it easy.'  The Lord has been gracious and the condition has now been completely resolved and there is no longer a risk to the pregnancy.

We announced we were expecting after the first ER visit, which was the first time I as able to see the baby ultrasound.  We found out we were having a girl during the second ER visit at 15 weeks.

Although she doesn't move a ton, I can feel our little girl moving regularly with more movements each day.  We are now a little over 26 weeks along with a little over 3 months to go.  My other girls were 7 and 11 days early, so I am hoping that our newest addition will be a little early as well.

Here I am at 23 weeks (when we were at Dana Point).
We have lots of things to do in the next month or so in order to get ready for the baby (I like to be ready early).  To begin with, we need a name.  While we don't plan to let others know the name until she comes, I would like to decide on one for peace of mind.  Our plan for bedrooms is to keep the nursery as the nursery and move Brooklyn into Katelyn's room so that they can share.  We are trying to find a bunk bed that will work.  We also need to add another rack in the closet for Brooklyn's clothing.

These are the beautiful flowers my wonderful husband brought me when I told him the news.  He asked for 5 flowers for 5 members of our family, but the lady didn't listen very well.

The girls are very excited about getting a new sister and talk about it often.

Summer 2013 Random Photos

I was looking through my photos and found some random old ones that I had not posted.  So here are some photos from the summer.  Enjoy!

We went to a 'messy party' for the one of the girls' friend's 2nd birthday.

They got to play with finger paints.

And Shaving cream.  They had a blast.
In August, we celebrated my nephew Micah's first birthday.  (I guess we are in the stage of life where we are just going to a ton of birthday parties all the time . . .)

There was a bounce house/water slide.  Here are the girls with Grandma.

Katelyn coming down with Auntie Carol.

Brookie & Micah enjoying the little pool.

The birthday boy & his mommy.

Katelyn & daddy coming down the slide.  (The adults enjoyed the slide too as it was pretty big.)

Towards the end of summer, we met my sister at a nearby park that has a splash pad.

Katelyn really got into it.  Brookie not so much.

Cousins!

Here are a couple of photos of the girls coloring.

Katelyn learned how to write her name and draw stick people this summer.

Brookie just like to color.

Including coloring herself, which is a constant battle when she has markers. (Notice her arms)

I have to say that I am rather enjoying our nice cool weather right now when I am posting these hot summer photos.  We have had a very small amount of rain over the last couple days, but that is the most we have had all year.
