September 2016 (Weeks 1 & 2)

September was pretty jam-packed for us.  We had something almost every Friday evening and Saturday night for the entire month.  We even had to say no to some of our normal activities, like going to the county fair as a family, due to how much was going on.

Labor Day weekend was actually or slowest weekend of the month.  On Monday, Kyle did some work around the house, included putting some grass seed down.  He had lots of helpers.

The second weekend of the month, I went to the "Belong Tour" with a couple of friends.  It was located pretty close to home on Friday evening and Saturday, so we didn't need to get a hotel.  It had some of the same speakers as Women of Faith in the past, but it was definitely a different event.  I enjoyed hearing some of the speakers and it was fun to spend some time with friends without the kiddos.  Kyle took the girls to a friends house to watch a movie outside on Friday night while the moms were away.

When I got home from Belong, we pretty much packed up and headed out to go to an Angel's game.  It was our only baseball game this year and I think the girls enjoyed it.  We consider it a success if we get to the 7th inning, which we did.  Of course the Angels hit a home run and did fireworks as we were walking out of the stadium, but oh well, we can't see it all.

Katelyn was invited to a friend's birthday party at a small, local amusement park.  They each got a wristband and a bunch of coins for the arcade could go on whatever they wanted.  This was a first for her and very exciting.  It was her first time going on a lot of types of rides without one of her parents.  She did great!  She even got in half a round of mini-golf before we had to leave as it was getting late.

That is her in the orange.  I think they did this ride at least 3 times.

Katelyn is on the right.
Here's a few random photos from those early weeks of September:

I am always finding selfies on my phone.

"Mommy, I stinker." - We call her a stinker all the time.

I may have dropped VERY hot (like boiling) ramen soup on my legs.  It wasn't good, but it getting back to normal now.

"Mom, take my picture." - Brooklyn

More selfies from Brooklyn.  Such a goofy girl.

Love this sweetheart.

She loves bubbles.

Madison likes to be a helper.
